Jones Memories 2024-2

The Jones children share memories (2024)

Frisco Jones came to Port Charles in 1984 to lead the band Blackie and the Riff Raff as their singer. He briefly dated Tania Roskov, but his brother Tony Jones, who later arrived in town, won Tania's affections. Tony became a doctor at General Hospital, married Tania, and they named their daughter B.J. Jones, after their dear friend Bobbie Spencer. Frisco's single status was short-lived; he soon met and fell in love with Felicia Cummings, an Aztec princess. They married in 1986, and Frisco joined the World Security Bureau.

Tania's death in a car accident left Tony and B.J. alone, leading Tony to marry Bobbie in 1989. Bobbie adopted B.J., and later, she and Tony adopted a son, whom Bobbie named Lucas Jones after her brother, Luke Spencer. In 1991, Felicia had her first daughter with Frisco, named Mariah "Maxie" Maximiliana Jones. The stress from Frisco's job strained their marriage, resulting in a divorce, after which Frisco left for various assignments with the W.S.B.

Frisco returned to town in 1994 when Maxie needed a heart transplant. Following B.J.'s death in a school van accident, her cousin Maxie received her heart, leaving Frisco, Felicia, and Maxie eternally grateful to Tony and Bobbie. Frisco and Felicia briefly reunited, and after Felicia became pregnant again, Frisco left in 1995 to continue his work with the W.S.B. Felicia later gave birth to their second daughter, Georgianna "Georgie" Jones. Frisco visited Georgie briefly but has since been largely absent from his daughters' lives. Years later, Felicia married Mac Scorpio, who became a steady father figure to Maxie and Georgie.

Tony and Bobbie, already struggling with marital issues, were further devastated by B.J.'s death. Their marriage was additionally strained when Tony had an affair with Bobbie's daughter, Carly Spencer. They divorced in 1996 but remained friends and continued to co-parent Lucas.

In 2005, Felicia departed to care for her sick grandmother, Mariah Ramirez, leaving Mac to single-handedly raise Maxie and Georgie. The following year, Tony passed away at General Hospital due to a lethal encephalitis strain contracted during a Port Charles epidemic. Post Tony's demise, Lucas moved to Seattle, Washington.

In 2007, the Scorpios and Joneses were shattered by Georgie's murder at the hands of a serial killer known as the text-message killer, prompting a temporary return from Felicia. Maxie was particularly affected by her sister's tragic death. Maxie would later have a child with Damian Spinelli, naming her Georgie Spinelli, in tribute to her sister.

In 2012, Felicia returned to Port Charles to repair her relationship with Maxie. The following year, Frisco came back after over a decade's absence. He swiftly sought to rekindle his romance with Felicia and also reconnected with his daughter Maxie. However, the reunion was brief as Frisco departed once more when Felicia turned down his proposal. He now continues his global travels as an agent for the World Security Bureau.

In 2014, Lucas returned to town when Bobbie informed him that his sister was missing. Once she was located and he discovered that his biological father, Julian Jerome, was alive, Lucas decided to make Port Charles his home once more. He spent his time reconnecting with his family, including his cousin Maxie.

In 2016, Lucas married his longtime boyfriend, Brad Cooper, marking General Hospital's first significant gay wedding. Brad and Lucas decided to adopt a baby, Wiley Cooper-Jones. Tragically, Wiley passed away from SIDS shortly after birth, less than 24 hours later. A few years on, Brad and Lucas ended their marriage.

In 2017, Maxie married her longtime boyfriend, Nathan West. Tragically, a year later, Nathan was fatally shot by his father, the villainous Cesar Faison. Maxie then faced the challenges of single motherhood with their son, James Malcolm West.

In 2021, Maxie gave birth to her second daughter, Louise, who was later renamed Bailey Louise Jones.

On January 10-11, 2024, B.J. makes a ghostly appearance as AP reporter "Angela Brighton", who reported on Bobbie's anti-sex trafficking work in Amsterdam. She attends her funeral and the following day, joins Bobbie's friends and family at Kelly's to listen to stories about her mother. Later, Maxie and Felicia deduce she is actually B.J. after failing to find any evidence of her existence. B.J. makes one last appearance to her younger brother Lucas as he leaves Kelly's to catch a flight to his new home. They exchange goodbyes, and as he walks away, she calls him "champ." Recognizing the nickname from when she was alive, Lucas stops and turns around, only to find she has disappeared.
