Norma Monty was a former head writer for the ABC soap opera General Hospital.
Biography[]
After leaving the teacher profession Norma Monty moved to California and started as an assistant to the producers of General Hospital in 1980. Monty would eventually advance to the position of associate producer and later co-head writer in 1985-1988. She earned three Emmy nominations along the way. When Gloria Monty returned to the soap as executive producer in 1991, Norma was appointed as sole head writer. She departed GH in 1992.
